We're glad you've landed on our website and having a good look around. Our founder, René Artz, has a passion for lending, as he does with the outdoors. Wanting to combine the two, the Kea bird was adopted in the company's logo and branding. For more than 25 years (and counting), René has worked in commercial banking roles and advisory positions within accounting and economic development.
After 5 years at the top of his game at Westpac, René has decided to spread his wings, so that more people can access his invaluable advice including business owners, commercial property owners, alongside those looking to invest into a new business venture.
René's biggest achievement though, is the clients that keep coming back for more - including the next generation of those clients!
Having grown up in a business family he remains captivated by the science of business and the art of getting it done. And herein, is where his secret to success lies. From the big picture to the details, René has the questions to make you think and the desire to build confidence in action.

Mimi is René's sister and with her skills and personality, is the best person to help out our Kea customers.

Susie brings her skills of marketing and the operations of small business to life in Kea Mortgages.
Having been self employed for over 15 years, alongside her husband (René's brother), she knows all the ups and downs of business life - particularly in the construction industry. She also comes equipped with a decade of experience in marketing and brand strategy.
Tending to the back end of the business, Susie's role is to keep things smoothly running and operational.
